Treatment is not the whole cost of being ill.

PatientAid International raises charitable funds and directs them to patients living with acute, chronic and life-threatening illness — for transfusions, medication, diagnostics, and the travel that gets them to care.

A nurse in a white uniform holds a small monitor to the arm of a child sitting up on a bed in a hospital ward, while a man sitting beside the bed watches. Painted murals and further beds fill the room behind them.

What we do

Where the money actually goes.

  • Financial assistance

Direct grants to patients, and to the hospitals and patient-support organisations that treat them, for costs treatment alone does not cover.

  • Education and access

Materials and access to medical knowledge and resources — for patients, their families, and the people caring for them.

  • Advocacy and awareness

Raising awareness of acute, chronic and life-threatening illness, and advocating for patient rights in underserved communities.

Where we work

Principally Bangladesh.

Funds raised in the United States are disbursed as programme grants to partner hospitals and patient-support organisations, and to vendors supplying medical and educational materials. We are registered in the United States; the patients are not.

People walking and cycling along a narrow concrete path raised between flooded green paddy fields in the late afternoon. Two men ride bicycles towards the camera; behind them a woman carries a sack on her head and two goats follow.

Give to a patient, not to a category.

Every dollar is disbursed as a programme grant to a partner that delivers care, or to a vendor supplying medical and educational materials.
